Canton Fair Spring 2024: Self‑Cleaning Station Feedback and Updates

We demoed HC28, HC29, HC26, and HC31 at the fair. Here's what buyers asked about and the adjustments we're making.

What we brought

At the Spring Canton Fair (Phase 1, April 15–19, 2024), we set up a small demo table with four self‑cleaning station models:

  • HC28 – 3L dust capacity, 800–1800W, suction >20kPa
  • HC29 – 2.5L capacity, 800–1200W, suction >18kPa
  • HC26 – 3L, two speeds, pet mode optional
  • HC31 – 2.5L, similar to HC29 but different form factor

Each station was paired with a Mate series cordless vacuum (Mate40, Mate60, or Mate80). The demo was simple – visitors could dock the vacuum, hit the auto‑empty button, and open the bag compartment.

Questions from visitors

We talked to maybe 20 to 30 buyers – mostly from Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia. A few questions kept coming up:

  • Compatibility – Does the station work with vacuums from other brands? No, only our Mate series.
  • Bag capacity – Several people asked for a larger bag (4L or 5L) for commercial or multi‑pet households.
  • Noise during auto‑empty – A couple of visitors said the cycle is louder than they expected. We’re already testing a quieter motor mount.
  • Bag full indicator – Some wanted a clearer way to know when the bag needs replacing. Our HC29 has a digital reminder, but a mechanical window was requested.

Nothing dramatic – just practical feedback.

What we’re changing

Based on what we heard, we’ve started updating the platform:

  1. HC29 bag indicator – Adding a simple transparent window on the next production batch (target Q3 2024).
  2. Noise reduction – New motor isolator for HC28 and HC31 will lower auto‑empty noise by about 4‑5 dB. Available for orders placed after July 2024.
  3. Larger bag option – Evaluating a 4L bag for HC28 (needs minor tooling change). Decision by end of 2024.
  4. Compatibility documentation – Updated spec sheets now clearly list which Mate models work with each station.

Next steps

We’ll be at the Autumn Canton Fair (October 2024) with the updated HC29. If you want to try the current version before then, samples are available.
